Minnesota now has an expanded insurance law for diagnostic services/testing with no out-pocket-expenses, which goes into effect 1/1/24. Please visit DBI’s state legislation MAP, insurance MAP image, or Legislation Table for more info.

National Reach Out
To complement the educational event World Dense Breast Day and further outreach, DBI was featured in a CBS News story which is running on stations nationwide. JoAnn Pushkin was interviewed along with Dr. William Dahut, Chief Scientific Officer, American Cancer Society. He commented, “Mammography alone is not adequate screening for women with dense breasts.”

FDA Dense Breast Reporting Standard
In preparation for the national reporting standard going into effect Sept 10, 2024, it is imperative providers are knowledgeable about the screening/risk implications of dense tissue and supplemental screening options. Two recent articles are comprehensive resources:
