#WorldDenseBreastDay Turns 5!

Officially recognized on the National Day Calendar,  #WorldDenseBreastDay is the only global awareness day devoted entirely to education about dense breasts and on September 30, we celebrate its 5th anniversary! Get ready for a 24-hour global education blitz: from midnight to midnight, new #WDBD posts will be launched, in English and Spanish, across six social media channels. Please join us and help make the 5th anniversary of #WorldDenseBreastDay our biggest educational event yet!

Educational Opportunities to Support the Event:

On #WorldDenseBreastDay: To celebrate #WorldDenseBreastDay, the American Cancer Society National Breast Cancer Roundtable will launch a free provider-focused webinar exploring how clinicians can respond to breast density information to ensure optimal screening. Panel members, Dr. Wendie Berg, DBI’s Chief Scientific Advisor, and Drs. MTMI’s 2026 Breast Imaging Conference: This for-credit opportunity will focus on advancing breast imaging, improving patient care, and exploring emerging technologies shaping the future of the field and includes DBI’s Chief Scientific Advisor, Dr. Wendie Berg as a Keynote Speaker. This course is designed for mammography technologists, sonographers, radiologic technologists, and other healthcare professionals with a special interest in Breast Imaging.
